The short answer is: core cutting in Manesar factory units works best when openings are marked from the plant layout, scheduled around shifts or a planned shutdown, and cut wet with diamond tooling so dust does not reach machines or stock. Our crew already serves Manesar along with Sector 56, DLF Phases, Sohna Road, Golf Course Road and Ramgarh, so industrial jobs there are routine for us, from a single pipe sleeve to a full set of openings for a new production line.
Manesar is one of the main industrial areas of the Gurugram district, with automotive, engineering and logistics units spread across its sectors; Wikipedia's Manesar page gives useful background. Factory buildings there are typically heavier than homes: thicker floors, larger walls and more services running through them. That changes how we plan, which equipment we bring and how we keep a working plant safe.
Typical cutting jobs in Manesar units
- Pipe sleeves for compressed air, water and drainage lines
- Cable and conduit openings for new machines and panels
- Floor trenches for cable trays and drains
- Duct openings for ventilation, fume extraction and HVAC
- Wall openings for new doors, dock shutters or conveyor lines
- Openings in mezzanine and office slabs within the plant
Round penetrations are core drilled, while straight trenches and doorway-type openings are sawn. If you are unsure which applies, our guide to core drilling vs concrete sawing explains the difference.
Planning around production
The biggest difference between a factory job and a home job is that the building is usually running. We plan with your maintenance or projects team so cutting happens in a safe window and nothing is disturbed that does not need to be.
What we agree before the visit
- Exact positions and sizes, marked on the floor or wall
- The working window: between shifts, a weekend or a planned shutdown
- Isolation of nearby machines, power and compressed air lines
- Water supply and drainage for slurry
- Gate pass, permit-to-work and safety induction requirements
- Barricading and access for the crew and equipment
Most plants have their own permit and induction process. Tell us about it when you enquire, and we will bring the documents and protective equipment your safety team asks for.
Rebar, services and structure
Industrial floors and walls often carry heavy reinforcement and buried services such as earthing strips, cable ducts and pipes. Our rebar scan service helps locate what is inside before a bit touches the concrete. For anything near columns, beams or machine foundations, the plant's structural consultant should approve the position first, as explained in our article on structural approval for openings.
If reinforcement cannot be avoided, read cutting reinforced concrete and rebar to understand how diamond bits handle steel and why an engineer's view matters.
Keeping dust and water under control
Dust near machines, electrical panels and finished goods is a real risk, so we cut wet. Water turns concrete dust into slurry, which we contain with barriers and wet vacuums and clear at the end of each opening. Where water itself is a concern, such as near panels, we agree extra sheeting and drainage beforehand. The approach is the same one described in our guide to dust-free concrete cutting, scaled up for industrial spaces.
Floor trenches and long cuts
New machine layouts often need trenches across the floor for cables or drains. These are cut with a walk-behind floor saw along both edges, then the strip between is broken out in sections and cleared. Straight saw lines make the trench easier to reinstate and keep the surrounding floor intact.
Reinstatement
After services are laid, the trench is usually filled and finished by the civil contractor to match the floor. We clear debris and dress the edges so the reinstatement bonds well. Our article on post-cut repair and finishing covers the options.
Why diamond methods suit industrial concrete
Breakers and hammer drills send shock through a floor or wall, which can loosen nearby anchors, crack toppings and disturb sensitive machines. Diamond core drilling and sawing grind the concrete instead, so vibration stays low and the edges come out clean. That matters in a running plant, where a cracked floor near a machine base or a chipped wall around a cable entry becomes a maintenance problem later. Our comparison of core drilling vs hammer and chisel explains the difference in detail.
How to book industrial cutting in Manesar
Send a photo or layout drawing with the openings marked, the sizes and thickness if known, and your preferred working window. You can call or WhatsApp us on +91 9735 156 388, use the form on our contact page, or email corecutting.in@gmail.com. Our office is at Room No. 113, Durga Mandir, Taniyan Market, 67, Ramgarh, Haryana 122101. For larger projects we can visit first to survey the openings and agree a sequence, and you can see similar work on our projects page.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you work inside running factories in Manesar?
- Yes. We plan cutting around shifts or shutdowns, follow the plant's permit-to-work process and keep dust down with wet cutting and slurry containment.
- Can you cut trenches in factory floors?
- Yes. Straight trenches are cut with a floor saw along both edges and the strip between is removed in sections, leaving clean edges for reinstatement.
- What do you need from our safety team?
- Your gate pass and permit-to-work requirements, any induction, and details of isolations needed near the cutting positions.
- Do you also serve other parts of Gurugram?
- Yes. Our crew regularly works across Sector 56, DLF Phases, Sohna Road, Golf Course Road, Manesar and Ramgarh.
